Doom Bag "Merci"
Woven from hand-harvested palm leaves in a stitched-spiral technique, this bag carries the crinkled, fibrous logic of the leaf. Using the doum’s natural pattern, the strips are coiled from the center outward, tucked into a voluminous, heaving form. Leather handles are added at the stress points to provide an anchor for the raw fiber, followed by pockets and ornament. Whether it carries goods to the market, beach or shelf, it eases the everyday burden.
