The Beldi glasses are well familiar in Moroccan material culture, having long served both the public house and the private table. Made since the 1940s by the artisans of Verre Beldi from reclaimed glass, they bear within them small bubbles, work-worn traces of faithful making. Their shapes are sober and their colors few; clear, green, blue, amber. Resistant alike to heat and to cold, they were formed around use and habit, for returning again and again to the hand.
